For decades, Black men and women journeyed up from the South to work on North Fork farm labor camps, processing potatoes for little pay in dismal living conditions. Veteran author and journalist Steve Wick shares the stories of the people who lived in the last of these labor camps in Cutchogue.
Their stories are chronicled in his book, All That Remains, published by the Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library.

This episode, we sit down with local basket weaver Carol Losquadro to talk all about the art of basket weaving! We discuss how she got into the hobby, plus the freedom and sense of community that comes with creating.
Carol has been weaving baskets for over a decade, and is a member of the Basket Weavers Guild of Eastern Long Island. She runs basket weaving workshops at CNSFL and other venues.
